Physical Therapy for Neurological Disorders

Neurological disorders can affect how your brain, spinal cord, and nerves communicate with your body—impacting movement, balance, coordination, strength, sensation, and independence. At The Center for Balance & Rehabilitation, our neurological physical therapy programs are designed to help individuals regain function, improve safety, and build confidence in everyday movement.

We take a personalized, whole-body approach that combines evidence-based neurological rehabilitation with balance training, gait retraining, strength, coordination, and functional task practice. Whether symptoms are new, progressive, or long-standing, our goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward.

Neurological Conditions We Treat Include:

  • Stroke (CVA) and post-stroke recovery
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Traumatic brain injury (TBI) and concussion
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Vestibular and balance disorders
  • Ataxia and coordination disorders
  • Brain tumors or post-surgical neurological conditions
  • Neurodegenerative disorders affecting mobility and balance

How Physical Therapy Can Help:

  • Improve balance and reduce fall risk
  • Enhance walking ability and gait mechanics
  • Increase strength, coordination, and endurance
  • Address dizziness, visual-vestibular challenges, and postural control
  • Promote independence with daily activities
  • Support long-term mobility, safety, and quality of life

Our therapists work closely with patients, families, and medical providers to create individualized treatment plans that evolve as needs change—helping you stay active, engaged, and as independent as possible.

Concerned about balance, walking, or fall risk? Our physical therapists are here to help. Schedule an evaluation today and take an active step toward safer movement!
